We work across Fife to provide information and support to people who require help with their mental health needs. The three services we run in Fife are Carer Support, Resilience and Hearing Voices.
Carer Support offers support to carers supporting people with often complex and challenging mental health needs. We help carers cope with the emotional impact of caring through one-to-one support, telephone support and access to groups. This service facilitates the development and maintenance of peer support networks and provides opportunities for carers to gain a better insight into the experience of psychosis and other symptoms of mental illness. The development of strong peer supports is essential to these groups which often form part of a core network of support for carers helping people with enduring mental health needs.
Resilience provides early information and support to people who require assistance with their mental health needs. We provide support through one-to-one meetings and telephone support. We engage people in person centred planning where they identify their own goals to improve their circumstances and wellbeing and we support them to get the assistance they require - either from us or a more appropriate provider in the Fife community.
Hearing Voices delivers one to one support, group sessions and telephone support to people experiencing psychosis across Fife. The service is underpinned by a behavioural approach to the management of sensory disturbances and delivered within a model of peer support, enabling individuals to shape their personal recovery.
